Sock Monkey Nursery Design

Sock monkeys have made quite an impact on kids clothes, toys and room decor over the past few years.  Believe it or not, sock monkeys have actually been around since the Victorian era when the craze for imitation stuffed animals made its way from Europe into North America. We embrace our inner sock monkey today with a post on sock monkey nursery design. 


To start off our baby's room, we chose Maddie Boo's sock monkey crib bedding in vanilla. This warm vanilla and chocolate set features a whimsical 3 piece set with bumper, crib skirt, and crib sheet. 

This vanilla and chocolate set is a great neutral nursery set because it maintains a nice color contrast that doesn't gravitate too much towards either gender.  Plus, when you do know the gender of your baby, it'll be easy to add on to! Instead of just sticking with all things sock monkey, we're going to incorporate various patterns and even other jungle animals in our design.  

We bring out the chocolate accents in the bedding with some of our decor picks.

Adding a custom children's rug allows you to choose what colors you will play up in this set.  Our circular carpet maintains the vanilla & chocolate color scheme, but you can play up the red accents in the set or even add some other earthy tone.


Adding a colorful monogram decal to the nursery creates a simple touch of personalization and dresses up any bare wall space.  The block wall monogram decal is a charming piece that has the hand-painted look of a professional.
